Bangjia Brass Spoon and Chopsticks

Much of Jong Duk Lee’s life has been dedicated to the bangjja technique – over the course of his life, he has travelled across Korea, Japan and China to learn from masters of the craft. After copious trial and error, he perfected it himself. This spoon and chopsticks set captures the beauty of the labour-intensive method; forged entirely by hand, the brass is melted, poured, moulded and pounded, before it’s dipped in water and hammered to reach the desired form.
